You might associate the Netherlands with fairness, equality, and overall good decision making. But their housing market is deeply flawed. Of all countries in the OECD, the Dutch are paying the largest percentage of their incomes on rent. And while many protesters call for the construction of more social housing units, they already have the largest percentage of social housing with over 34%. What is going wrong here?
